Cookery and Budgeting Course
We run around three free 'Eat Well, Spend Less’ cookery and budgeting courses over the year. This course has been developed by the Trussell Trust. The course runs for six mornings over six weeks. You do not have to be a Foodbank client to come on these courses.
The course teaches basic food hygiene, knife skills, managing your food budget, recycling skills, preparing a menu and gives each course participant the opportunity to cook 2 food items each week that they can take home. These include things like homemade pizza’s, porridge, cereal bars, omelettes etc.
It is a good course. I want to do it again, but do different stuff. I have really enjoyed coming so I am coming along next time
A very good cooking course. Lots of good people and very easy to join in and have fun. Thanks very much for having me
I don’t buy ready meals anymore, I make everything myself
I am saving £60 a week, now I am cooking food from scratch for my family instead of buying frozen ready meals
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think lots of people should do it. Ladies who did the course were excellent very kind
